New – Survey Highlights: Feedback
Read about highlights from the survey relating to student use of GenAI for feedback, created in preparation for our panel at the HEDx Future Solutions Conference, April 2025.
Established in 2024 by a team of Australian research academics, this website will share our progress and findings from a contemporary, Australian, cross-university research project into the experiences of current HE students as they navigate the intersections of AI and their tertiary education journeys. Last year, it prompted much-needed discussion, informed by students’ voices. We spoke at HedX, ASCILITE and a range of conferences and seminars (see our Results page for more). Now, in 2025, we are continuing to analyse our data from focus groups and survey, working on publications and other forms of dissemination, and looking ahead to the implications of what we have found so far. Stay tuned here on the website or sign up to our email list via the “stay connected” button, above.
The project in brief:
Exploring the diversity of tertiary students’ views and experiences of AI in their learning, our project is contributing to a new and fast-evolving area of research. The project is distinctive for its cross-sector research collaboration on teaching and learning, underpinned by a shared funding model to foster evidence-informed and joined-up understandings of Australian student experiences. It is contributing new evidence to inform wide-ranging practices and policies in teaching, curriculum development, feedback, and authenticity in assessment – with implications for academic integrity, work preparation, and digital strategy development.
